LAHORE:
A woman who had been missing since Friday night was found dead at a hospital. She was identified as 25-year-old Noorus Sabah, the eldest of Siddiq Asghar’s seven children. She had been shot. Asghar told police that Sabah had called her sister on Friday night and told her that she had dinner plans and would be home around midnight. When the hour passed the family tried to call her but her cell phone was switched off. On Saturday, they received a call from a hospital and were told that Sabah had been brought to the facility by a man named Farhan, Asghar stated in the FIR. She was dead when doctors checked her. Farhan had left after bringing the body to the hospital. The victim’s father said Farhan was Sabah’s friend and had asked for her hand in marriage. His proposal was turned down, said Asghar, adding that he believed Farhan had shot her daughter because he was upset.
