GENEVA: Pakistan’s envoy to United Nations (UN) Abdullah Hussain Haroon has once again resigned from his post due to his differences with the Pakistan government over certain policies and excessive interference. It is for the third time that he has resigned from his post.

Hussain wanted to support China and Russia over UN resolution against Syria, while the government wanted to support the resolution, they said. Haroon has handed over his responsibility to his deputy Bashir Tarar. The ambassador has also informed Hina Rabbani Khar, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, regarding his resignation.
