Monsoon: 14 injured in rainstorm-related accidents

As many as 14 people were injured in a rain and windstorm and related accidents in the city on Friday. These accidents were reported from Chaks 31-JB, 32-JB and 33-JB and Shehbaz Nagar.
Power supply to some areas in Bhowana remained suspended for most part of the day as six electricity poles along Jhang Road were knocked down. The wind speed recorded by the Met Office was 138 kilometre per hour. The rainfall was recorded at 39 millimetres. The relative humidity was recorded 88 per cent. More rain is expected today.
