Fazlur Rehman alleges Israeli involvement in Kashmir
The remarks came on “Kashmir Martyrs Day”, a day observed by Kashmiris to commemorate the sacrifices made in 1931 by the 21 Kashmiris who lost their lives in a revolt against the Dogra Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Recently, Israel has inducted more armed personnel in Kashmir who have arrived under the guise of tourists,” alleged Rehman in an official statement.
He further revealed that the Indian forces are being abetted directly by US and Israeli military, “The US and Israeli military personnel are assisting over 800,000 Indian soldiers posted in Indian Kashmir.”
Rehman has admonished India for allowing the involvement of foreign military in Indian Kashmir. He underscored that the US and Israeli military, along with the Indian army are violating human rights in Indian Kashmir. Expressing his faith in a favourable outcome for the Kashmir issue, Rehman said: “Whatever India may do, it will eventually grant freedom to Indian Kashmir. History is witness to the fact that a nation that is determined to clinch freedom can’t be kept in bondage for an unlimited period of time”.
He said that the world community is now increasingly aware of the turmoil in Indian Kashmir, and voices are being raised against the plight of innocent Kashmiris. “The Kashmiris are indeed a valiant and brave people and the history of their freedom struggle is longer than that of the Indians or Pakistanis. Therefore, India would not be able to enslave them for long.”

I think the staement is for local consumption, being head of the Kashmir Committee of the assembly , he is justified to make statements on kashmir, second to be relevant he has to show he is part of the establishment , third the statement is drafted by the writers of the Rawalpindi wing of the foreign office. There are so many Indians who have nothing better to do than to than to comment statements by pakistani politicians that hardly warrant a response. But then you Indians have a long standing relationship with Maulanas. The Maulans father was pro congress and anti Jinnah as nearly all Deobandis. Military personnel from 20 countries undergo training and staff courses in Indian Military establishments. Moreover, India would not ever commit a cardinal blunder of allowing a single Israelli or US boot in Kashmir which would invite mass protests from Kashmiris. You are reading it right. What I am saying is Kashmirirs are fighting an unjust cause. They are fighting against secularism, equal rights, freedom and democracy.
You cannot pinpoint what is wrong because that WRONG is right in your brain. It takes years and years of introspection to see those faults. Do you have it in you?
Fazlu should give more attention to the present plight of Pakistan if indeed he has some vision left in him
@A.S.Ahamed Farooq I am not at all surprised by what as happened in Kashmir. Our policy is to provoke the Indians into committing atrocities. I knew that thats what we would do when the insurgency started in 80's. It takes two to tango and we have played our part. It is a viscous cycle of hatred and we need to break this cycle for the for the sake of peace in the subcontinent.

I am pretty sure neither Israel nor USA has any forces in Kashmir. However, the whole world is aware of the fact that Pakistan has invited Chinese forces in Gilgit-Baltistan area and there are reasons to believe that China is using G-B a collateral for its conditional security assistance in defense and on international arena.
Glad to note that Outlandish theories and dream of conquering Kashmir and India are still alive and well in Pakistan. This one topic has brought Pakistan to its current sorry state since independence. Few more rungs left to reach the dead bottom. With 'leaders' like this guy all it takes is for India to do nothing, just wait patiently !

@asma: Kashmir separatists have butchered, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. Even some pro-India muslims were butchered by Terrorists trained in Pakistani training camps. Do you call this genuine cause? Kashmiri separatists have failed because they are morally bankrupt. Even so called moderate elements remained silent when Pandits were being butchered.Even in current Kashmir Gilani calls for ban on Music and everything he think is non-Islamic. Also take opinion of the muslims that live elsewhere in India. Their number is far greater than Muslims living in Kashmir. They have always chosen to live in secular, democratic and progressive setup that is offered only by India in this part of the world. Then shouldn't pakistan first provide facilities of education, infrastructure and security to the current part of Kashmir it occupies?

Due to extremism and jehadis induced in the kashmir by Pakistan..They don't want to make Kashmir Safe....Due to this extremism in late 1990's Kashmiri Muslims has driven out 500,00 Kashmiri Pandits...the Option they were given to Leave their women back or convert to Islam or Leave the Place.....they are still living in refugee camps...can you think such thing in Pakistan ..Hindus driving out people from Sindh...Anyway Now 15% Hindus at the time of partition is now reduced to just 1 % ..Where as in India Muslims grows from 10% to 15%...Indian has many muslim stars ,,,and had many muslim presidents...Do pakistan even be able to compare itself with India...However there are unfortunate incidents like Babri Masjid and Godhara which sparked Gujrat incident but it never create ever standing strain in the society because people call these incidents unfortunate and move on............................................................Due to Extremism and pakistan being the epidemic center of Terrorism.......People are now afraid of muslims ....People don't want to rent their home to Muslims....I remeber the days till 2005 people most of the people in Bombay when they say a Maulana with Beared they used to give respect by saying Chacha or Maulana Sahab...but now when people see beared muslims they just run away from them.......................So best thing that pakistanis can give faovour to indian muslims is to Keep mind in your own matter...you guys has already cleased your minorites ..Every day there is an incdent of forced conversion killing....Now when minorities are on the verge of getting finished ..you guys starting killing Muslims....Which Islam you guys following.......Islam is supposed to be a religion of Peace....People laugh after hearing this statement....So please concentrate on Human Right violations happening in Baluchistan.....We INDIANS want a peaceful pakistan....that will be helpfull for our growth....... Although he has left the ruling coalition, they have allowed him to retain the post of' ' Chairman of the parliamentary committee on Kashmir affairs ' - so every now and then he has to say something, apparently anything, in order to justify this post and whatever goes with it.

Nicely Said Mr. Fazlur Rehman.Certainly Israels are involve in this matter,indeed they have sustain India and want to devastate but the question takes place in my mind that when there was partition of India then Hyderabad(dakan) was in our part but they claim that there is majority of Hindus living there and they got that but if we ponder a little that Kashmir majority is Muslims then why our politicians are not asking for.
Looks like the Pakistanis find it very difficult to accept the fact that 65 years of their effort has all gone to waste with them not being able to make India budge an inch on Kashmir. It also appears that they find it difficult to imagine that India could absorb all that Pakistan had to throw at India on its own without requiring any crutches to do the heavy lifting. Hence this appears nothing but an attempt at creating a new narrative that Pakistan couldn't defeat India on Jammu and Kashmir due to the involvement of US and Israel. It looks like the maulana thinks India is Pakistan where any Tom, Dick and Harry can come and dictate policies. I hope the Pakistani people will resist this attempt to create a new narrative and see things as they are. That Pakistani establishment's (of which the maulana might be an integral part of) has taken Pakistan to the brink of disaster over it's obsession with Kashmir. Only the people of Pakistan can now save themselves from this rapacious elite that has little concern for the common man.
Israel is the best excuse for not doing any thing. Oh Molve Sahib, learn to speak the truth and start working for the country rather than shifting every blame to others.

@A.S.Ahamed Farooq: You sir are yet another expert on UN plebiscite on Kashmir. Can you please explain why Pakistan does not do agree following three pre-conditions of plebisicte. 1. Remove all your army. Your army will never agree to withdraw out of Pakisatn Occupied Kashmir. So this condition cannot be met by Pakistan. 2. Maintain demography. For which Pakistan will have to remove all Sindhis and Punjabis and restore original inhabitants in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Also they have to call ack all punjabi militants from Indian Kashmir valley and India has to make sure all Kashmiri pundits and Hindus and Sikhs drove away from Valley are restored back. Since it is practically impossible, this condition cannot be met by Pakistan. 3. Maintain geography. Pakistan gifted quite a chunk of their kashmir to China. Please get it back. It is not your land to trade. Since this also you cannot do, this condition too cannot be met by Pakistan.
So out of 3 pre-conditions Pakistan is not ready to follow any. So tell me, who is avoiding plebiscite ? India or Pakistan ?
@A.S.Ahamed Farooq: I hope you realize that ALL of the discontent is restricted to some in the valley. Elsewhere in Jammu and Leh, no one is bothered. Now let me explain to you a few more things:
In the comparatively loose Indian federal structure, any one can aspire for a state or country. In fact, states like UP have been split earlier based on agitation and currently there is one on in AP. Long story short, any regional leader aspires to have his own state or preferably a country -- Nothing propels you on to the world stage as much as your own country. Heck, if I could, I would proclaim my plot of land to be a country of its own.
Secondly, for all the ammo India has, it has been comparatively restrained. Do you care to ask why 800,000 soldiers (I have no idea if it is true!) are in the valley? The only reason for that is your own country. In other places where low intensity warfare exists like for instance the Naxal problem areas, India only maintains a paramilitary force with weapons from the days of the British Raj.
Thirdly, like it or not, you have to credit India with article 370. Look at your higher-than-mountains friend. They have let Tibet be occupied by Han Chinese. If it wasn't for Article 370, I may have retired in the foothills of the Himalayas and and written to you that everything is peachy during my boat-ride on my own boat on the Dal Lake.
Fourthly, Kashmir is like Afghanistan. It is landlocked. You think you can have Kashmir by the 'nads if it becomes independent.
Anyway my friend, it is time to move on. Don't be bleeding hearts. Focus on our own problems. During the Kargil war, India lost soldiers but still ensured that we did not trespass the LOC. We just want to be left alone in peace.

Hats off to the brave and valiant people of Kashmir,who have been waging their struggle for independence for over a half a century against the mighty Indian army..Realizing the inability of the 800,000 Indian jawans to accomplish the task of crushing the people's uprising ,,the mighty Indian army has shamelessly sought the assistance of Israeli and the US security forces to suppress the Freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir. In the process the forces belonging to India,America and Israeli have committed grave Human Rights violations against people in Kashmir, which are worse that those committed in some other areas.The International community's obligation to intervene in Kashmir to aid the people of Kashmir to achieve the objectives is undeniable.Their legitimate right to self determination can not be denied.India has undertaken at the United Nations to concede to the people of Kashmir the right to express their wish at a Plebescite held by the UN whether they want to be with India or an Independent state.India,which claim to be a regional power and a leader of the non aligned movement,has failed to fulfill this obligation.India has shamelessly and disgracefully defied the United Nations by refusing to hold that Plebiscite.
Of course and the Israelis are also responsible for load shedding, poverty and corruption in Pakistan. Makes perfect sense, to an idiot, that is.

With this, an extremely dangerous new dimension has been added to Pakistan's immediate threat profile. Military must be completely ready to defend every inch of the land from the many malignant forces making their way to the periphery.

Im not a fan of maulana but He's got a point here. I read in a British newspaper during the protests by Kashmiris in 2009-10 that Indians have requested israel for assistance in curbing the mass movement. People ain't taking him seriously because of his beard and that's pathetic. Sometimes imran khan gives statements on mere hearsay and this Internet brigade starts showering him with praises. Maulana is a shrewd politician and he would never give a statement for cheap publicity. I know he doesn't have a good track record but this statement shouldn't be ignored.

You are right that RAW is WAR made an idiotic statement. His statement is devoid of truth.

But Kashmir cause is bigoted. Because they are fighting against equal rights and democracy and secularism. And here Muslims are the occupiers of South Asia. Also, after independence, Kashmir wants to turn itself into another Pakistan - a repressive and regressive society.
If we have leaders like honorable Maulana than we definately do not need any enemies! Again RAW+MOSSAD+CIA Conspiracies, Pan Islamic Vision, Strategic Depth, etc. Get real for God sake!

He does have a point. The Guardian newspaper published an article on Torture by Indian authorities on stone- throwing children in Kashmir. Channel 4 UK also aired a program highlighting horrific cases of torture. They were using the same methods employed by the Israelis in putting down the Intifada.
