Double murder: Woman given life imprisonment

She was also sentenced to five years in prison for hiding the corpses.

FAISALABAD: Additional Session Judge Muhammad Akram Sheikh sentenced a woman to life imprisonment on Wednesday on two counts finding her guilty of double murder. The prosecution had said that Farzana Bibi, a resident of Ahmadabad, and her paramour, Nadeem, resident of Tariqabad, and Haider Ali, also resident of Ahmadabad, had killed her husband and his sister in 2009 and hidden the corpses in the courtyard of their house. Police said Farzana Bibi had called her husband, Haji Nazeer Ahmad Malik, who had been abroad for work, telling him that his sister was missing. The court has also ordered her to pay Rs100,000 to the legal heirs of the deceased. She was also sentenced to five years in prison for hiding the corpses.
