In an exclusive talk with The Express Tribune, Sehbai said he had not been invited to the event and that he rejected the award.
Sehbai is currently in Germany and the award had been accepted by Mahira Khan, who also starred in Bol.
The actor has vowed to take action against the organising body of Lux Style Awards.
Separately, entrainment website Pakent.net reports that Sehbai is unhappy with the LSA management for misspelling his father’s name. They also report that the actor had wanted his brother, Sarmad, to receive the award on his behalf, but the LSA management had not contacted him.

It's really not understandable as to why the management did this. Nobody was forcing them to hold this big ceremony or giving awards to the artists and they do it annually to acknowledge celebrated people's services in their fields. On the one hand, they are conferring the best award upon an artist, and are committing sheer negligence by not inviting him to receive his award. Why? Moreover they read and pronounced his surname wrong that is very sensitive issue.
salam everyone....i have gone through all the comments and did feel the desire to add a word or two to clarify the whole situation in a way that we understand each other in a much better way....i have been approached by a person called adil naeem belonging to the travel management of LSA probably on the 4th of july through FB requesting me to share my phone nos and my E-mail ID...so that he can pass them on to the organizing body...which will eventually contact me in berlin to sort out the schedule....i thereof furnished him with the required infos....and hoped to get an e-mail or a phone call in the following days...but nobody called me on phone or sent over an e-mail...whereof i called this guy adil naeem on the 7th of july in karachi telling him that i have got no information so far from the organizing body and i believe it would be impossible for me to come over to attend the ceremony...he reacted in a very disturbed way telling me that he has passed on all the informations to them and they told him that they will contact me anyways...i said ...pls...tell them to invite my brother sarmad sehbai to receive the award on my behalf....he said he will.....i called my brother in pakistan on the 9th of july to find out whether he has been contacted by the organizing body just to get the answer no...they havent...thereof i again called the guy adil naeem asking him to explain this to me...he on his side told me that manzar sahib...i have always conyed ur msgs to the organizing body and they always gave me the same answer...they will do it...as u all know by this time....nothing happened.....i would just like to add...that i never ever expected anything more than an invitation...since i would have loved to thank not only the production and camera crew and the co-artists for their highly creative and passionate efforts but also that small boy called asif who served all of us with hot tea almost 20 times a day with a beautiful smile on his innocent face......regards manzar sehbai

Mr Sehbai did right. The whole entertainment world as well as showbiz planet is fully depending on commercial ventures and lobyists.
news apart, let's just recall his act n praise award well deserved!
Life imitates art. Even in BOL he was a difficult character, but at least in the movie he was just brilliant.

I dont think its possible that someone is the winner of one of the major categories in an awards ceremony and nobody invites him! What probably happened is that he could not attend, and his brother was not invited.
