PESHAWAR:

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has given the provincial government a final chance to draft the service structure for female probation officers.

Chief Justice (CJ) PHC Dost Muhammad Khan, while heading a division bench with Justice Syed Sajjad Hassan Shah, inquired about the absence of the establishment department and home and tribal affairs officials before starting the proceedings. He asked Additional Advocate General Lal Jan Khattak to tell the officials concerned to appear before the court.

Establishment Department Additional Secretary Zulfiqar and Section Officer Courts Usman informed the court that the draft was ready and asked the court for time to complete some formalities.

The court, upon requests of the officials, said it would give the departments concerned until September 12 to finalise the structure otherwise the court will draft the service structure itself.
