GHALLANAI: A state-run boys middle school was blown up by militants in the Safi area of Mohmand Agency on Monday night.

A security official told The Express Tribune that the school had been blown up in Wali Kor by unknown militants.

The number of destroyed schools has crossed 50 in Safi and 98 in Mohmand. The Education Department has not provided any tents to these schools due to summer vacations.

Safi is a volatile region, where despite a militant operation it is believed that militants continue to operate during the night.
