Addressing the media on Sunday at the Islamic Center in Peshawar, JI leader and senator Professor Ibrahim said that by reopening the supply routes, the government had bypassed the Parliamentary resolution.
Referring to the proposed decision in this regard, he added that it was decided that the US would apologise over the Salala attack, which resulted in the loss of 24 Pakistan soldiers, and stop drone attacks in Pakistan. Instead, the US simply said ‘sorry’, which does not equate to an apology and drone attacks have not stopped either, he argued.
Professor Ibrahim said that the JI would force the government into withdrawing their decision to reopen Nato supply routes.
The JI will also hold a long march on July 17 from Bagh-e-Naran to Khyber Pass.
Recently the JI held a protest in Karachi too, in this regard.

But PTI, making promises in their rose garden are also unachievable and another pie in the sky for the people of Pakistan ! Nothing more ! They really need to find some extremely serious and pious people to run the Nation and bring it back on tracks as otherwise its Balkens of 21st century in making and it has all the ingrediants of that making in very near future too ! As per the parlimentary history of Pakistan, JI had always been the least voted Party in Pakistan. However they had been making it to the corridors of power through gaming and deals. After all they have a history of being the first recepient of $$$ for using Islamic ideology against communism.

If the supplies are stopped, then NATO is forced to withdraw from the Northern route. The usage of Northern route cost 2 billion , money that does not exist.
Your logic is illogic. In any case, with the rise of PTI , ongoing long march, inevitable dissolution of government due to contempt of Supreme Court, it is anyone's guess that supply will be shut again.
On technicality points, the supply hasnt opened yet because federal order has not been given.

Your first statement is entirely false. I have corrected another person who stated that here.
Firstly, these policies are put in place by Rawalpindi and Islamabad, not provincial governments.
Secondly, none of these parties have ever been in power in any province and definitely not in Islamabad and Rawalpindi .

The problem with the DPC and its allies is they never stopped supplies when they were in power. These supplies are nothing compared to what has been shifted to Afghanistan from 2001 and subsequent years.
Secondly, by all means stop the NATO supplies and in that case any chance of a withdrawal of the majority of forces would be a distant dream. NATO will be there in full strength if supplies are ruptured.
Thirdly, if tomorrow a shia group emerges and threatens to stop the supplies of Pakistani army personnel serving in Saudi Arabia for being a poodle of the US. What would you do? ( even though this isn't possible because shia's will be massacred with impunity by our brave nation, but take it as an example.)
So, you cannot let splinter groups hold the entire state as a hostage.

There seems to be a concensus building in the West that Pakistan doesn't need or want our financial help. So if trends continue they way they are going...I think it's obvious to all they will get their wish.
