Crime: Two killed, five held in separate cases
A couple was killed over a property dispute in Dhoke Hafizabad, whereas five men were held on charges of illegal wood logging on Thursday.
In the first incident, Khizar Khan lodged a report with the Jand police that his uncle, Arshad, and his cousin, Khizar, sprayed their house with bullets using Kalashnikovs around 12:30am on Wednesday night, when his family were asleep inside. Resultantly, his father, Mian Khan, and mother, Zubaida, suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot.
The police have registered a case against the alleged murderers but no arrests were made till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, the Jand police apprehended five persons for their alleged involvement in stealing wood from a forest.
The nabbed men were identified as Inayat, Riaz, Dilshad, Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Hanif. The police registered a case against them.
