Intervention: LPG price reduced by Rs30 per kg

Before the latest revision LPG prices were in the range of Rs110 to Rs125 in different parts of the country.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs30 per kg.


According to a notification issued here on Thursday, Ogra fixed maximum consumer price for 100% locally produced LPG at Rs983 for an 11.8kg cylinder or Rs83.30 per kg.

Maximum consumer price for 100% imported LPG was fixed at Rs1,136 for 11.8kg cylinder or Rs96.27 per kg. Consumer price for a mix of local and imported LPG was fixed at Rs1,020 per 11.8kg cylinder or Rs86.4 per kg.

According to a leading distributor, before the latest revision LPG prices were in the range of Rs110 to Rs125 in different parts of the country.

Ogra has asked LPG marketing companies and distributors to ensure that the notified prices are charged, otherwise, strict action would be taken against the violators.
