Fire incident: Two photocopier shops gutted

ATTOCK: Two photocopier shops in the premises of District Kutchery were burnt to ashes when some persons set them ablaze, sources said on Wednesday. According to the shop owners, they closed their shops at 3pm and went home. However, in the evening some persons put both the shops on fire. As a result, three photocopier machines, one computer, two plastic lamination machines, two plastic sealer machines, two small size colour photocopier and precious documents were destroyed. Even though the Rescue 1122 reached the spot and tried to extinguish the fire but could not save the equipment available in the shops, which the shop owners quoted to be worth Rs0.6 million. Meanwhile, Attock District Bar President Syed Azmat Ali Bokhari told The Express Tribune that this was the fourth fire incident in the locality. He said that police should look into the matter and bring the culprits to book.
