Crime: Two robbers arrested; man booked for theft

The Ratta Amral police on Monday arrested two members of an inter-provincial gang of robbers and seized stolen valuables worth millions of rupees from their possession.


The police spokesperson said that the suspects, Asad and Akash, confessed to have committed several robberies in Attock, Fateh Jang and Abbottabad.

The police are interrogating them and expect to extract some vital information regarding other gangs operating in the region, said a police official.

In a separate incident, the police booked a man on charges of theft on Sunday. Mrs Yasmin, a resident of Dhoke Waziran, lodged an FIR with the police against her daughter-in-law’s father. She accused him of stealing Rs60,000 and gold ornaments from her house.

The police said the suspect came to pick his daughter while the complainant was away. Further investigations are underway.
