Murder: Newly-wed woman axed to death

She had no enmity in the village and it was not clear how she stepped out of the house in the middle of the night.

MANSEHRA: A newlywed woman was axed to death in Oghi tehsil on Monday. Police quoted Sherur Rehman of Chajar Syedan village as saying that his daughter Nabeela, 19, had come to visit her family and had gone to sleep with her siblings in a separate room. However, she was missing in the morning. Upon search, her family found her body in the nearby fields, at some distance from their home. The autopsy confirmed that she was axed to death. The complainant told the police that she has no enmity in the village and it was not clear how his daughter stepped out of the main entrance during the night or any leads on the murderer.
