Roti, kapra, makaan (food, clothing and shelter) is probably one mantra that every Pakistani has heard more than anything else. The previous governments have been saying it and the incumbent government still says it. But what really happens afterwards?

A video titled “Roti Kapra Makaan Rap” features Umair Tariq, who is seen rapping on the roads of Lahore – describing the situation of Pakistan.

Tariq, who likes to call himself OMI, started his rapping career by making a soundtrack for the reality TV show “Living On The Edge”.

He walks past drug addicts sitting on the corner of dim streets, protestors rioting and starving beggars.

The rap song narrates how the promise of food, clothing and shelter was not fulfilled and how the conditions worsened for the common man.

Tariq walks across the streets, roping in people together as he raises his voice against the ongoing crisis in the country. Eventually, he has a large group of people following him, with a flag of Pakistan in their hands.

Video rating: Thumbs up for the good lyrics, thumbs down for the bad video quality.

awesome rap, lyrics touch my heart. May God bless pakistan and bring havoc in the lives of these politicians who have made a life of common man miserable and full of jeopardizes.
