Busted: CID arrests alleged target killers

Apprehended seven men allegedly involved in over 100 cases of crime.

The Crime Investigation Department said on Sunday that it conducted separate raids on a tip-off and apprehended seven men allegedly involved in over 100 cases of crime, including target killing, extortion and kidnapping.


SSP Fayyaz Khan added that the suspects were affiliated with two political parties and were arrested during separate raids within the jurisdiction of the Korangi Industrial Area, Risala, and Jackson police stations.

The arrested men were identified as Hassan Ali, Fahim Akbar, Mohammad Saleem, Abdul Rauf aka Lamba, Mohammad Danish, Azadi Khan and Syed Salik Siraj. Law enforcers also seized one Kalashnikov, six pistols, 500 kilogrammes of hashish and two stolen cars from the suspects. SSP Khan added that the suspects had killed at least five men from a rival political party and further investigation is under way.
