Extortion Blues: Traders meet MQM leaders

KARACHI: A delegation of the All Karachi Tajir Ittehad, led by its head Atiq Mir and Vice-President Jamil Paracha, met the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee members Wasay Jalil and Tauseef Khanzada on Saturday. The traders reportedly briefed the committee on the threats sent to them by extortionists.  They said that while extortion was initially restricted to a few areas, it had now spread to Liaquatabad and Gulbahar. The traders’ delegation appealed to the MQM to help the business community.
