Cricket: Safeer helps West Zone Blues to win

KARACHI:

Safeer Imam scored an unbeaten ton to propel West Zone Blues to a 10-wicket win against North Zone Blues in the Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) U16 tournament match. Set a target of 176, Safeer scored an unbeaten 101 with 11 fours, while Awais Mughal remained not out on 50 as West Zone chased down the target in just 26 overs.

Earlier, North Zone could only make 175 for nine in 40 overs with Chand Ali top-scoring with 26. In another match, North Zone Whites beat West Zone Whites by 52 runs. Batting first, North Zone made 244 for nine as Abu Bakr Khan top-scored with 81. In reply, West Zone were bundled out for 190.
