Elections, not military solution for Pakistan: Imran Khan
“I cannot say whether elections will take place or not, anything can happen right now,” said Khan. “But whatever the government does, I cannot see a way out of this quicksand other than elections.”
Answering a question on the issue of a possible Martial Law, Khan said, “There should not be a role of the military in forming a government in the country,” adding that the democratic process was the solution as it is within the constitutional boundaries.
Khan, speaking on tensions between the government and the Supreme Court said, “We see a clash between the two in the near future.”
“Raja Rental was made the prime minister for protecting Zardari’s corruption,” said Khan, adding that he too, like Gilani, would “protect the corruption” and not write a letter, which would lead to a clash between the two institutions.
"For protecting their corruption, they will say that democracy is in danger," said Khan, adding that their previous attempt at "discrediting" the court had failed and that they would try to do that again.
“If they do so again, InshaAllah we will take part in a street movement together,” said Khan.

Mohd Butt: Sir it is not a question of, "might be or might not be" it is all about the stark facts that stare us in the face. Time for everything is honky-dory and the persistent denials is long gone and we are my friend on the brink. I agree other countries or nations too have bad apples in their baskets but we have a whole trainload of them can you name one leader in the last 65 years since the birth of my country who was sincere, visionary and statesman in the real sense of the word. I am not ashamed of my countrymen I am rather deeply hurt to see Arif and Ayesha on the roadside with empty stomachs and can you tell me as to who is responsible for their plight? It is always easy and cheap to talk but it is the walk that matters most.
this is the first time I agree with Imran Khan. This is a long time but only solution . And along this he must respect result of election . If he want to succeed throne of Pakistan , he must avoid Jamati Ideology . it may successful with urban people and student. not with hard working and sincere people of Pakistan.
IK is promising and delivering nothing. Pakistanies had enough of false promises. Go away IK.

I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist, I have a strong feeling that what ever good intentions IK has got for his country, once he gets elected, if the peoples mandate is with him that is, then he would automatically have to toe the lie of status quo. Wheater he likes it or hates it, he wants it or otherwise. He would not have any other option. Then comes the balancing different stake holders ala' Army, Amrika, Mullah Brigade. But Imran bhai, an S.C commission can write the letter instead of Raja Rental and expose the corruption that Zardari is trying hard to hide. Why doesn't the S.C commission just do that? In fact, they could have done that months ago...

Imran Khan has risen to the occasion as a colossus to defend the Independence and the Supremacy of the Judiciary of Pakistan President Musharaf's measures at the behest of the United States to gloss over the corruption charges against Asif Ali Zardari was unjust and illegal.The illegally acquired money lying to the credit of Asif Ali Zardari i Swiss banks must be brought back to Pakistan,as it rightfully belongs to people of Pakistan.The Supreme Court is endeavouring to do just that.In executing its function the Supreme Court need to be supported by the whole nation.It is in this context that we commend the role played by Imran Khan.Any attempt by the reactionary elements to obstruct the sfforts of the Supreme Court need to be condemned.

Not a supporter of Imran, but completely agree with him that military should stop pulling strings in Pakistani politics.

The only solution is Islamic Welfare State which is equal to Islamic Sharia and Inshallah Imran Khan will bring Sharia to Pakistan. Once Imran Khan is there, there will be so much bounty of every things that for rich People it will become difficult to find a poor person to give him their Zakat. They are dragging the country towards Military intervention by insisting on the "Letter Writing Competition" Instead of disrupting things they should write the letter themselves and see the response from the other side. This is a positive gesture. Traditionally, Martial Law has been pushed through because of the political vacuum in which opposition parties gave out positive signals to the army to intervene; this time it seems like all political parties are on board with regards to commitment towards democracy. We are going through the roughest patch of our life as a nation; but we can see rays of hope on the horizon.
You sir will be the death of a secular Pakistan. You will support JI, make extremists madrassas flourish and then pop out youth that can't read or write properly and only knows how to protest on streets. You will put Pakistan on a collision course with the US and then we will end up like North Korea! A destroyed and shattered economy under the weight of sanctions.
