Hajj corruption: SC orders Hussain Asghar's suspension

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has passed an order to suspend Hajj Corruption case investigating officer Hussain Asghar as Inspector General of Gilgit-Baltistan, Express News reported on Wednesday. It has also directed the secretary establishment to implement this decision and report to the Supreme Court by tomorrow.

The three-member bench today expressed their dissatisfaction over the absence of Hussain Asghar.

They court further said that Hussain Asghar does not hold a greater post than the prime minister and that the government had become so helpless that even an employee refused to listen to them.

Justice Jawad S Khwaja remarked that there is such a thing as discipline.

The hearing will resume tomorrow.

Is it necessary to drag the prime minister and president in every order? A simple order asking for suspension and report compliance would have sufficed. Where are you Justice Kyani and Justice Cornellius?
