Fort Munro gang rape: DNA report finds one official guilty

The DNA report of members of the Border Military Police, who had allegedly raped five women, has blamed one official – Ahmed Zafar – for raping Salma*, Express News reported Tuesday.

Three suspects – Amjad Ali, Zafar and Naveed Iqbal – had been arrested, while two others are at large. The victims identified the fourth suspect as Majeed Leghari.

BMP Commandant Tariq Basra was removed as a result of the development.

The District Coordination Officer (DCO) obtained the report and summoned a meeting to change the BMP Commandant and deliberate over the duties of other officials.

The DNA report will be made available to the media in the evening.

Five girls, hailing from Dera Ghazi Khan were held captive and gang-raped by police at their station in a village on the border between Pakistan and India, officials had confirmed.

The rape victims had told during an investigation that they could identify all five personnel accused of the crime, including the two men who have escaped. They also revealed that the BMP officials had filmed the gang rape and had threatened to make the footage public if the girls dared to disclose the sequence of events.

Some people are trying to destroy the great image of this trible area. that's it...

What if those girls are not innocent, what if some politicians are trying to attack the BMP police.

do you know about the BMP police soldiers, how much daring people are they. 80-90 % of them belongs to Bloch nation. Bloch have just fair of Allah. :)

As everybody knows that there are two aspects of everything. in this case, some people maybe trying to abuse the BMP police. i m not saying that the report is wrong, but if you are the rational people of Pakistan, you must think about this issue, Our media just can see what the higher post leader let them to see. So the newspapers did not focus on the both sides, as the electronic media like GEO TV does. I am sure that after few days a report on other aspect of this case will appear soon.
