DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Around fifteen flood-displaced people have died of gastroenteritis in Dera Ismail Khan's DHQ Hospital after failing to receive timely medical treatment, fever, stomach problems and skin diseases are spreading among the flood victims, on Monday.

Poor sanitation is raising concerns of water-borne diseases as a case of Cholera was confirmed on Saturday in Mingora.

Other cases are suspected, and aid workers are now responding to all people exhibiting acute watery diarrhea with the assumption that it's cholera.

The World Health Organisation says as many as 300,000 people may contract cholera and up to seven million can suffer from diarrhea.
