Football: PTV clinch Governor Gold Cup

PESHAWAR: PTV defeated Chitral 1-0 to clinch the All Pakistan Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Gold Cup Tournament. The match was attended by more than 4,000 spectators at the Peshawar Sports Complex. Chitral, known for their quality football players, could not live up to their billing as favourites and failed to penetrate the strong PTV defence. The only goal of the match was scored by Salahuddin in the 23rd minute. PTV captain Naimat Ullah was delighted with his team’s performance. “All players performed very well,” Naimat Ullah told The Express Tribune. ”Our strong defence made us proud and did not give any space to Chitral.”
