Life is a hard swim for Sargodha native without limbs

“If I get a limb, it would be like giving eyes to a blind,” said Kamran, an IT student from the University of Sargodha, who had lost his right-side limbs in an accident in 2011.

Kamran was promised an artificial limb by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif early this year. However, to this date, Kamran is still waiting for the CM to honour his promise.

“With a new, working limb, I will be able to live a normal life. My disability has not stopped me from moving forward but yes I’m a little behind,” he said.

Belonging to a family with limited means, Kamran had to borrow money for his treatment. Around Rs0.8 million have been spent on his health so far, but authorities have provided him with nothing but wordy promises.

Despite having no state support, Kamran has not lost hope and he continues to struggle with the help of friends and family.
