In broad daylight: UK-returned family robbed

Robbers looted 30 carats gold ornaments, 7,500 sterling pounds (approximately Rs1 million), Rs100,000, cell phones

GUJAR KHAN: An expatriate was deprived of cash and foreign currency in Gujar Khan in broad daylight on Wednesday. Police sources said that four armed robbers entered into the house of Muhammad Hakeem, who had recently come to Pakistan from UK with his family, and held the inmates hostage. They looted 30 carats gold ornaments, 7,500 sterling pounds (approximately Rs1 million), Rs100,000, cell phones and other valuables. The police registered a case but are yet to make any arrests.
