'Important' al Qaeda leader captured on Pak-Iran border: Officials
Meziche is believed to have links with militant groups based in Europe, and media reports say he may have played a role in the 9/11 attacks.
The French national of Algerian origin worked closely with another al Qaeda leader, Younis al-Mauritani, who was responsible for international operations, officials said.
Mauritani was captured by authorities in September last year.

This arrest is a message to USA: We are still relevant. Q: If he is important how come there is no bounty on his head? Is his picture on one of those 52 play cards?
Soon to be released due to "Lack of Evidence" , or transferred to a another remote and insecure prison (One scheduled for another "jail break")!
It will be very informative to know if he entered Pakistan using US PISCES immigration system.
It brings great satisfaction to read that the region faces one less threat today due to the capture of this terrorist. This will send a clear message to the terrorists who feel invincible and think that they can use Pakistan as a safe haven. We strongly encourage Pakistan to go after the elements that are responsible for the instability of the region. Al-Qaeda’s terrorist organization has already proven detrimental to the stability of the region, including Pakistan. This is not the first time one of their leaders has reportedly been captured inside Pakistan. It wasn’t long ago when Pakistani authorities successfully captured Younis-al Mauritani. We want to make it clear that our authorities will continue to clamp down on their organization, and the remaining few will be left with no choice but to resort to peace, or face captivity. We remain hopeful of combining our strength and working side by side to achieve our ultimate goal of stabilizing the region.
The main point is that he was captured within the borders of Pakistan. It says a lot.

As much as I hate PTCL for their unreliable internet that screeches to a halt during peak hours, still this is only one of the two internet providers which is providing high speeds at low cost. I pay only 2000 for a 4mbps internet connection and I can download upto 300gb of data per month. What are the others doing? While the world is moving towards speeds upto 300mbps (Verizon), the other service providers present 1 mbps speed packages with 8gb of data as truly ground breaking! If it was so expensive how can worldcall provide the same speeds for the same price as PTCL does?
