Raid: FIA seizes fake stamps, documents

The owner of the agency was allegedly involved in human smuggling.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials claimed to have seized forged documents from a recruiting agency and arrested the owner of the agency here on Monday.


The owner of the agency was allegedly involved in human smuggling.

The FIA Director Arshad Masood said that in a raid at the Peace and Protective Recruiting Agency in Supply Bazaar, he recovered 109 fake passports, fake stamps and educational and immigration documents and bank drafts worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

The owner, he said, was later identified as Shakirullah, a resident of Balakot who was involved in smuggling people to European countries on fake documents.

A total of 10 such people had been deported from different countries. Moreover, a criminal case was registered against the accused under section 18 of Immigration Ordinance and section 22-B of the Pakistan Penal Code.
