Development: PCSIR unveils biomedical machines

Launched its locally-manufactured biomedical equipment at the ‘Trade Show 2012’ .

KARACHI: Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) launched its locally-manufactured biomedical equipment at the ‘Trade Show 2012’ which was organised at the Regent Plaza Hotel on Monday.

PCSIR designed and manufactured seven electro-medical equipment. They are: the infant warmer, infant incubator, suction machine, centrifuge machine, mobile nursing unit, non-invasive blood pressure monitor and a blood shaking machine. The machines were developed at a cost of Rs26.4 million. Four of them have been tested. Out of these seven machines, four - infant warmer, infant incubator, suction machine and centrifuge machine have been tested and certified in hospitals and are ready for commercial sale.
