Local musicians have used the violin in ghazals and qawalis, setting aside the impression that it is a western instrument.
Lahooti believes that with government’s assistance, his musical efforts which include a violin school can help bring the music lovers from different parts of the world closer and can also present Pakistan in a positive way.
“The Violin should be promoted in Pakistan the same way it is promoted in other countries,” Lahooti had told The Express Tribune in an earlier interview.
He hopes that people will be inspired to take up playing the violin after listening to his music.
