‘Poisoned’ Ice Cream: Five children faint

Samples from the children’s stomachs had been sent for testing.

FAISALABAD: Five children fainted on Saturday after consuming ice cream near Tandlianwala. The children, Madeeha, Imran, Zain, Hamid, Insif and Shehroze, started vomiting after consuming the ice cream purchased from a street vender and later fainted. They were taken to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad. The vendor fled the scene. A doctor at the hospital said that they suspected the ice cream to have been poisoned. He said that samples from the children’s stomachs had been sent for testing.
