FAISALABAD: Forest experts said on Saturday that planting trees was one of the best ways for people to overcome environmental hazards. They were speaking at a seminar on Environment Changes organised by Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) in collaboration with Environment Protection Department at FCCI Complex. Muzammil Sultan, president of FCCI, said that globalisation, climate change and floods had increased environmental pollution. “Planting trees is the way out,” he said. He also said that people need to start recycling manufactured goods as well as water. Professor Dr AR Saleemi, member (technical) of the Punjab Environment Tribunal, said that the discharge of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane must be reduced.  “If we do not do so, temperatures will rise within five decades,” he said.
