ATTOCK:

Like other parts of the country, the World Blood Donor Day was marked with marked enthusiasm in Attock. A number of activities were organised in this regard.

A large number of students, civil society members and government employees participated in an awareness walk from Fawara Chowk to the Tehnsil Municipal Administration office.

The participants of the walk stressed on donating blood after every four months to stay well and healthy. They also expressed solidarity with thalassaemia patients, who need of blood after regular intervals and termed blood donation a “noble cause and a great service to humanity.”

Blood donation camps were also set up at all major hospitals and basic health units, where people freely donated blood for needy patients.
