Double trouble: 2 petitions filed against Malik Riaz in court
Two petitions were filed on Wednesday in different courts against Malik Riaz, a businessman who alleges that the son of chief justice of Pakistan took money from him and promised him favourable decisions in cases pending in the Supreme Court.
One of the petitions was filed an additional and sessions court.
Petitioner Muhammad Akram submitted that on June 12 Riaz admitted in a press conference that he had given money to Arsalan Iftikhar, the son of CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry.
He contended that though the Supreme Court had yet to decide whether Arsalan Iftikhar was guilty, Riaz had admitted his crime publicly.
He said that the practice of bribery would “flourish” if Riaz was not punished.
He claimed that he had he had approached the North Cantt SHO North to register an FIR against Riaz but he had ignored his request.
He prayed the court to direct the SHO concerned to register a case against Riaz for trying to influence the judiciary.
The second petition was a contempt plea filed by Advocate Mushtaq Mohal in the Lahore High Court.
The petitioner said the real estate tycoon was guilty of contempt because he addressed a press conference on an issue which is pending before the apex court.
Advocate Mushtaq Mohal petitioner also accused Riaz of trying to malign the chief justice of Pakistan and superior judiciary.

Either the whole thing is a script written by allignemnt of Army and Govt to get rid of an upright CJP or Bahria town schemes are going down under the weight of malpractices of Malik Riaz and he decided to htach this drama to cover up.That Alslan is for sure guilty is besides the point,
His face reading clearly asserts that he is not blowing the garbage willingly, but due to some stronger directives and unavoidable circumstance. He might have no choice!!
