@Pungi: @Dr. Syed R. Ali: @Proud Pakistani:
There were a good number of bomb attacks and massacres in Pakistan pre-2001 and untrue to claim otherwise. Just not as 'suicide bombing' (a tactic made popular by Al Qaeda in Iraq in 2003) or as frequent since the militants weren't challenged. It spiralled out of control post Lal Masjid in 2007, and has little to do with closing the NATO routes as some conspiracists ridiculously suggest.

Support for Drone strikes seems to be increasing in Pakistan which is a good sign . Now govt. should open the supply route despite of popular opposition to it . The war against terrorism is in the interest of both India and Pakistan and rest of the world .Those who created them in the past are now determind to eliminate them and we should support their efforts .
@Proud Pakistani
But Taliban are sitting in FATA and Balochistan. To remain neutral, we will have to kick them out of our territory
@Dr. Syed R. Ali: Drone strikes are increasing, right? This is the complaint of Pakistan. Now, read the title of this ET news item. It says: "Deadly suicide bombings declining in Pakistan: Report:"
I hope suicide attacks and drone bombings continue to decline, decline, decline over time. Although both tactics are very bad, suicide bombers need to be vigilantly found out, who trains them and arrested if they can be before they do these deadly attacks. Its like treason, killing your own countrymen. Terrible act indeed.
Good news. Now we can all sleep peacefully. Thank you drones.
This is data for just the suicide attacks. How about the "non-suicide" bomb and gun attacks? For those dead or injured it makes no difference if the perpetrator is a suicide or a non-suicide killer.
Agree with Raj and salman. I mran khan's logic had to prove wrong becaue it was not based on reality. He wants to use the FATA situatio for his political/election gain. He says suicide bombing is a reaction of drones. This is illogical because drones are fired by US while suicide bombs target innocent people, shrines, jirgas of tirbes, mosques, politicians and their childre, tombs, and govt emplyees. Mr khan terms taliban as a genuine popular movement, but the fact is that theyneither have the ethics of islam nor that of pakhtunwali.
Kick All Agents there will be 0% bombing..
The number of lawn exhibitions held every year has been rising steadily for the last 5 years thus proving that as drones strikes increase, the women of Pakistan have more lawn options to choose from. Apples and oranges, Raj. Let's not be naive.
@Raj - USA: What planet do you live on? The data is showing that suicide bombing goes up with the increase in drone strikes. Otherwise where was suicide bombing before 2000?
@Raj - USA... Would you plz like to mention how many suicide attacks were carried out after Pakistan blocked NATO supplies?? & do compare it with the time when Pakistan was actively supporting US war on terror i;e in 2008,09,10..
After Pakistan's Army Swat and South Waziristan operation, suicide attacks have gone down. Most of the jihadi terrorist training camps in those regions have been cleaned up which were actual suicide bombing ready made factories. Nothing to do with drone strikes, they were conducted during Musharaf's tenure as well.
Good analysis Raj
The data proves that as the number of Drone strikes increase, the incidences of suicide attacks decrease significantly. With the increase in the number of Drone strikes, suicide attacks dropped from 90 in year 2009 to 58 in year 2010 to 44 in year 2011. Imran Khan and others like him are wrong.
