Promotional campaign: Mango festival to be held in Dubai

Sindh province produces more than 125 varieties of mango and Sindhri is a unique variety among them.

KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) in collaboration with provincial department of agriculture is organising mango festivals in Dubai on June 13 to 16 and on June 21 to 23, 2012. The event is in continuation of SBI efforts to promote investment opportunities in Sindh and finding export avenues. The province produces more than 125 varieties of mango and Sindhri is a unique variety among them. Sindhri is one of the most popular mango varieties from Pakistan and is considered among the best tasting mangoes of the world. Dubai Mango Festival is being organised in collaboration with famous United Arab Emirates (UAE) chain stores and retailers. Accordingly, three day promotional campaign will be held at selected stores namely Al-Maya Supermarket, Unifruitti (Carrefour) and Lulu Hypermarket in UAE where mangoes will be displayed and sold. The event will be formally inaugurated at a ceremony organised with the help of Embassy of Pakistan, UAE.

They dont taste that good anymore and certainly very expensuve. I say go for Indian, South African or Ethiopian mangoes. They are not only tasty but have even been proved for medical benefits.

Timely initiative taken by the govt .Being a resident of UAE , I know the importance of Pakistani mangoes .Proper marketing should be done in the local news papers of UAE so that those who dont know will also come to know regarding this mango festival.Best of luck
