
Brazilian Ambassador Alfredo Leoni hosted a working lunch yesterday for members of the Pakistani delegation attending the Rio+20 Summit to be held at Rio de Janeiro from June 20-22.
Leoni said the Brazilian Government gives high importance to the Rio Summit, where sustainable development will be discussed. He said it also related to the discussion on environmental, economic and social issues, besides highlighting the patterns of green economy.
The Brazilian ambassador said it will be one of the biggest ever summit where over 50,000 members of NGOs, academia, media, youth, environmentalists and social activists will attend the conference.
