New Cricket Stadium: CDA hands over land to PCB

Islamabad’s first international-level cricket stadium to be built in a year.

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) handed over possession of 35 acres to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday on which Islamabad’s first international-level cricket stadium will be built. The stadium is expected to be completed within a year. CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal visited the site accompanied by PCB officials. Iqbal said a cricket stadium in Islamabad would be a milestone and a great opportunity for the youth of the federal capital to show their skills in the field of cricket and that it would be a great source of recreation and entertainment. The CDA chairman said the CDA would get a 30 per cent share from the stadium. PCB officials thanked the CDA for handing over possession.
