Washed away: Two girls drown in Indus

The girls belonging to village Dor Maira Gul Dhehri, were fetching drinking water when the incident occurred.

MANSEHRA: Two young girls died after drowning in the river Indus on Monday, according to police sources. Baghza Bibi, 11, and her cousin Shaheen, 10, belonging to village Dor Maira Gul Dhehri, were fetching drinking water when the incident occurred. Quoting Hazrat Usman, father of Baghza Bibi, the police reported that one of the girls slipped into the Indus while filling her pitcher and was being washed away when her cousin jumped in to save her.
