Nawab bugti case: Report against Shaukat Aziz sought

FIA also sought the details of court orders that declared the former premier a proclaimed offender.

The interior ministry on Monday sought a detailed report of court cases and inquiries pending against former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, official documents revealed.


The ministry wrote a letter to the Anti-Corruption Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) seeking compliance in this regard, The Express Tribune learnt.

The FIA also sought the details of court orders that declared the former premier a proclaimed offender. A case against him had already been registered regarding the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti under FIR 26/2009, sections 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Others mentioned in the FIR include former president Pervez Musharraf, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, former governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani, former chief minister Jam Mohammad Yousaf and former home minister Shoaib Ahmed Nosherwani.
