Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mehmood Zargham on Monday summoned SP Umar Virk, the investigation officer in the Orient Labs factory collapse case, and the record of the investigation for June 12.
Orient Labs Director Zubair Iqbal moved a petition that the court direct the police to record the statements of witnesses. Iqbal said that he had produced 32 witnesses but the police had yet to record their testimony. Iqbal said the high court had directed police on March 20 to record the statements. He asked the court to direct the police to conclude the investigation.
