Tennis: Somar advances in singles event

Saad Noor Somar qualified for the main round of the Maroof Ranking Tennis Championship.

KARACHI: Saad Noor Somar qualified for the main round of the Maroof Ranking Tennis Championship men’s singles event by defeating Nazif Ahmed 6-3, 6-1. Somar is the only player to qualify for the main round that will begin with the top-seeds Aqeel Khan, Yasir Khan and Nomi Qamar in their opening-round matches.
