Foreign intelligence agencies behind Balochistan situation: Justice Javed Iqbal
Addressing a news conference at the Civil Secretariat in Quetta, Justice Iqbal said that foreign intelligence agencies wanted to deteriorate the situation of Balochistan in order to destabilise Pakistan.
Justice Iqbal further regretted that the authorities have not been able to compile the complete details of those who were enlisted as missing persons. “There is a baseless propaganda about the actual figure of missing persons in the country.”
However, he said that according to the commission, the total number of missing persons stood at 460, including 18 from Islamabad, 117 from Punjab, 174 from Sindh, 170 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 57 from Balochistan while 12 each from Azad Kashmir and Federally Administered Areas (FATA).
He said that 42 bodies of missing persons were found in Balochistan, and claimed that foreign intelligence agencies were involved in the crime.
It is pertinent to mention here that Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VFBMP), an organisation striving for the safe recovery of missing persons in Balochistan, has already boycotted the proceedings of the commission and has categorically stated that the commission is not in the mood of recovering the missing people.
The inquiry commission’s chief further said that the list also contained the names of those living abroad and also those who have been involved in terrorism-related cases.
Iqbal said that the chief minister of Balochistan had sent a list of 945 ‘missing’ persons to the commission, and added that the complete details of even 45 persons on the list had not been made available.
“We sent the list back to the ministry for correction but it never came back,” he pointed out.
The commission’s chief said that in the past week, 12 people who had been missing were recovered from Balochistan. He claimed that some of the missing persons were in Afghanistan and they could not be recovered because they were in US-controlled territory.
Responding to a query about the delay in proceedings, Justice Iqbal explained that he was engaged in the Abbottabad commission. “We have been doing our job in Islamabad. We will soon visit interior Balochistan including like Gwadar, Turbat and Khuzdar. The people who are on the list cannot be declared as missing persons until or unless their relatives turn up and show their identity cards or driving license.”
He added that the commission is still facing difficulties because the government organisations and other organisations who are working for missing persons did not give the exit list. However, he said that the federal and provincial governments and secret agencies are cooperating with the judicial commission.

People lose confidence even in judicial commissions, if they go on giving such kind of reports..

When Rehman Malik said the same thing no one in PAK believed him. So now, it is official. ISI, judicial and interior minister are all saying the same thing. Chapter closed. Please do not ask which foreign agency is involved. The evidence will be presented at the appropriate time, okay?

Foreign hands are running interior, finance and many other ministries in Pakistan, May be same hands are responsible for missing persons and many other things in Pakistan. There is a difference between foreign hands and foreign governments.

Well, I can understand that Pakistan did not protect an uninvited guest like OBL from foreign raider but it is obliged to defend its own citizens. So the conclusion based on Justice Iqbal's report is that ISI and Pak security forces are not able to protect Pak citizens from foreign agencies inside their own territory.

@Yayha Ali: You are being unfair on the army. If they could not find OBL right under their noses in Abbottabad, isn't finding foreign agents spread across the whole of Balochistan, asking for too much? It's like finding a needle in a haystack - never easy.
The actual number of missing person is wrong and foreign agencies responsible for it.... both in the same statement... lol... who are you trying to fool? Foreign agencies will come and abduct Baloch people? Why?

He is also the same guy who jumped to become CJ of SC when Musharaff ousted the Iftikhar Chaudhary court. It’s not surprising that his commission has downplayed military’s role and have tried to place blame elsewhere.
How come you guys are unable to locate missing persons but never fail to come up with irrefutable proof of foreign involvement? Secondly, if you can find foreign involvement time after time, how come you can't eliminate it? Finally, isn't it a bit naive to fall for explanations like this again and again?
Who are those agencies and where is the evidence, if this is really true?
@Babloo: Instead of trolling, you Indians instead should stop state terrorism against Pakistan and occupied Kashmir. We have known all along that Afghanistan is used a staging ground for Indian criminals and agents.
In 1971 when 1/2 the nation as lost and the army had surrendered , the situation was explaimned by a brief statement issued by the army that said "local commanders in East Pakistan have agreed to a cease-fire".

The same assertion was made in the SC by someone and the CJ asked why these foreign agencies being allowed to operate freely in the country. I rest my case.
Justice Iqbal claims that there is concrete evidence against foreign intelligence agencies. If he has such evidence, why is he not presenting it to the Azad Adiliya as Pakistan keeps advising others repeatedly. Even Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, head of judicial commission does not have confidence in the Azad Adiliya ?

Isnt he the same guy who was still serving as a SC judge said that the ISI is a national asset and they will not be investigated in the missing persons case?
If there is concrete evidence then you shouldn't hold back on naming names. But , while saying that I have to force myself to forget there hasn't been a competent and truthful investigative commission in the history of Pakistan.
When 26/11 happened (we believe with ISI suport), Indians held home minister of India responsible for intelligence failure and he lost his job. They held Chief Minister of Maharashtra responsible for the poor response to the terror attack and he lost his job too. Assuming it IS foreign intelligence agencies who are responsible, Will Pakistanis not hold someone responsible within Pakistan?

Are we supposed to believe this lie? Even if foreign agencies are involved how can army not find even a single person. Lets not forget army is active all over Balochistan and people cannot go just missing. Either army is complacent or incapable.Either ways not helpful.

Why we needed the head of the "judicial" commission and a retired SC judge to make this statement? Weren't the IG FC, DG MI, DG ISI, DG ISPR, and COAS sufficient for such propaganda?
Now trolls will claim uber powerful agencies have forced Justice Iqbal to say this.
Conclusion : There are no missing persons in Baluchistan just as there was no Osama in Abottabad. Thank you.
