The incident is thought to have taken place due to a scuffle between Sabira and her husband, Niaz Khoso. Sabira, who had been staying at her parents’ house, refused to go back home with Niaz after he tried to reconcile with her which led to the attack. The deceased have been identified as Haji Shaikh and his wife Khalida, who died on the spot, and his brother, Perwez Shaikh, who died on the way to the hospital. The injured were identified as daughters of Haji Shaikh.
