HYDERABAD: A police constable was shot dead and another was injured on Friday when they tried to stop a motorcycle for a snap-check near Sir CJ Psychiatric Hospital, Latifabad. The three attackers riding the motorcycle escaped after shooting the policemen, who were on patrol. The incident happened within the limits of Hussainabad police. Rashid Ali, 34, was shot thrice and died in a hospital. Police constable Gul Khan was shot in the abdomen and leg.

He underwent surgery and was later sent to Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, where a second operation was performed. SHO Raees Khanzada said that Khan is still in the intensive care unit.
