Roadside bomb: Police officials escape unhurt in Nowshera

All three officials escaped uninjured and no damages reported.

NOWSHERA: A roadside remote-controlled bomb went off on Mardan road in Nowshera on Friday morning in the area of Bara Bandha. No casualties or damages were reported.

Police officials, Jihad, Fazal Hussain and Abdul Wahid Khan, were travelling from Risalpur to Rashkai when a remote-controlled bomb exploded around 15 feet away from them. Luckily, all three officials escaped uninjured.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Risalpur Muhammad Ishaq, “It was a 700g explosive device which was aimed at targeting the police mobile in the Bara Bandha area.”

Police official Fazal Hussain said, “Our car was on the left side, and 10 feet away, on the right, the bomb went off.”

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has arrived at the scene and they are investigating.
