Late breaking: Two more gunned down in Karachi

Number of people killed in the city over the last 24 hours has risen to nine.

KARACHI: In the ongoing bout of target killing, two more people were killed late Wednesday night while an unidentified body was recovered from the Lyari River.

With fresh killings and grisly discovery the number of people killed in the city over the last 24 hours has risen to nine. Orangi Town resident Arif was shot dead by gunmen at a poultry shop.

The SHO of Rizvia police station, Irfan Haider, the body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. It was not immediately known if Arif was affiliated with any political party. Separately, Asad Hussain, 35, was gunned down near to his home in the Korangi neighbourhood within the precinct of Zaman Town police station.

In another incident, the body of a young man was found floating in the Lyari River near Miranaka.
