Secretariat attack: PWD employees bail pleas’ dismissed
Police arrested 172 employees, of which 166 were later released and six remanded for six days.
LAHORE:
An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday dismissed the pre-arrest bail pleas of nine employees and after-arrest bail pleas of six employees of the Population Welfare Department (PWD). The employees had staged a protest in front of the Civil Secretariat and then stormed and vandalised the property. The police had arrested 172 employees, of which 166 were later released and six remanded for six days.
