House fire: Woman injured while rescuing son

While his son remained safe, his wife was injured in the incident.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A woman was injured while trying to save her child when fire started at their house on Tuesday. The child remained unharmed. Rescue officials said that the fire at Malik Fawad Alam’s house in Officer’s Colony started after his son threw a match stick towards the curtains. While his son remained safe, his wife was injured in the incident. She was taken to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where doctors treating her said she had suffered 15 per cent burns. They said her condition was now out of danger.
