Conference: Media workshop at FUUAST from today

Dr Mubarak Ali, Ghazi Salahuddin, and Dr Jafar Ahmed are expected to speak at the moot today.

KARACHI:


A three-day international conference on exploring the media’s agenda in contemporary times would begin at the Arts Council today.


The conference is being organised by the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Awaz Institute of Media Sciences, the Karachi Press Club and Pakistan International Airlines.

“The conference will bring together journalists from print and electronic media, as well as experts from Pakistan, India, United Kingdom and the United States,” said Prof. Dr Tauseef Ahmed Khan, head of FUUAST’s mass communication department.

FUUAST spokesperson Irum Fazal said that Dawn Group of Publications chief executive Hameed Haroon would be the chief guest of the inaugural session today. Dr Mubarak Ali, Ghazi Salahuddin, and Dr Jafar Ahmed are expected to speak at the moot today.
