According to PFF Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, the federation has been in talks with Oman, the UAE and Bahrain where the team could play practice matches. The official added that the PFF was hopeful of a better result this time around.
“Scoring is our biggest issue,” Lodhi told The Express Tribune. “The objective behind spending all that money is that they should develop the required skills. Pakistan is one of the weaker sides but I expect them to put up a fight.”
Meanwhile, Lodhi added that the PFF’s long-term plan is to make transform the current under-22 team into the national side, which will result in a number of senior players getting axed.
